Congratulations! You have to do nothing else. Please wait for our availability check e-mails.
What is an availability check?
We send out emails to check in with your availability for shoot date(s). You will have the option to accept or decline. If you are available, we will submit you to casting. If approved, we will inform you of your booking.

Not yet. Once you accept, we will submit you to casting. If selected, we will inform you.
I’ve got a booking! I’m working. What’s next?
Once we have informed you of a booking. Please wait for further instructions. We will send out emails about shoot date, time and location at minimum one day prior to shoot date.
What do I bring with me on the day of the shoot?
Bring a pen, your wardrobe, and anything else you need for the day/night.
What type of wardrobe do I bring with me?
You will receive an e-mail from us or the production a day before the shoot. The e-mail will entail what you need to bring with you to the shoot. As per ACTRA, you are to bring two (2) full outfits.
Who do I speak to when I arrive to set?
You will have to sign-in with AD or PA. They will be sitting at a desk with paperwork. If you are lost ask someone for guidance. Make sure to sign-in when you arrive with the AD or PA and get a voucher. Fill the voucher out and sign-out once finished with the shoot. Keep a copy for your records.
How will I be paid?
When you fill out the voucher on the day of the shoot, make sure to write your mailing address on the voucher. After two (2) weeks, you will receive your paycheck in the mail. You will then have to e-mail us with a picture of your paystub and we will calculate the commission owed to us.
How much will I be paid?
There are two (2) categories of performers. Non-union/AABP and ACTRA. Non-union/AABP rate is $17.60/hour with a minimum of 8 hours. ACTRA rates update yearly and can be found on the IPA (Independent Production Agreement). The IPA is available on the ACTRA Toronto website.
How do I pay commission owing?
Once you receive the cheque in the mail, take a picture of your paystub and voucher and email it to us. In the email, provide us with the name of the production and date(s) you’ve worked, with the subject line “INVOICE ME”.
How much commission do I pay?
Commission will be based on which category of background performer you are.
Non-union/AABP: 10%
ACTRA Apprentice: 15%
ACTRA Full: 10%
All commission is plus 13% HST
